About Me

Hi! My name is Emily.

I’m a wife and mom who doesn’t have it all together. I need God’s grace every day when I am tired or hangry or impatient. I am yearning to love the Lord with my time, but I find so often that it is hard. It is hard to say “no” to the lazy, easy option in my life. I’m working to get better and relying on grace.

Landon and I have been married for over 2 years now. We got married in December 2015, and Asa was born in December 2016. Our family grew very early in out marriage, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

A little more about me:

I love to read a good book, but I don’t do it enough.

Since my college days have ended, I found that I like hot tea better than I like coffee.

I have a major sweet tooth.

When I can, I work on my online herbal courses, read herbal books from the library, and teach classes on essential oils.

I’ve been described as a bit of a hippy since I’m into oils, herbs, and getting rid of toxins in my home. I’ll take that as a compliment, though.

A few other things I love:

My Sacred Ordinary Days planner plus all of Jenn’s resources (that you can check out here), making kombucha, The Valley of Vision, elderberry syrup simmering on the stove, Tiny Theologian Cards, ALL of Victoria Yates recipes on her blog, and my home church.

For those of you who may be wondering, my last name used to be Thornhill, hence the site URL. I just haven’t come up with the perfect blog name yet, so I haven’t changed it. Feel free to email me your suggestions! ;)
