Hello, my name is (now) Emily Nichols!
Stick with me for a quick minute.
Imagine that you walk into a waiting room, and you have no idea how long you m ay be there. It could be two minutes or two hours. Maybe… oh, you could read a magazine to pass the time! Well, your options are a fishing magazine or a computer parts catalog. So… yeah. You desperately wish you would have brought that book you’ve been meaning to start reading in all of your “spare time.”
Recently, I have been reminding that God has a lot for me to do while I am waiting.
I want to wait well, spending my time on things that really count.
This blog is a little glimpse into how I am trying to spend my time on worthwhile things that help me recognize the grace of God in each and every day. My relationship with Jesus Christ colors what I do and say; that is the most important relationship in my life. My husband, Landon, daily points me to Christ and to repentance. Together, we are waiting for Christ’s return, but in the meantime, we are being transformed into the likeness of Christ as we learn to love each other and others.
Worthwhile waiting. I don’t want to be a lazy waiter.
